Goodbye 2018, Hello 2019!

Hello you lovely lot,

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas, full of filling food, fabulous family gatherings and festive fun. I certainly did!

And, Happy New Year too! I cannot believe 2018 is over already – it whizzed by in a flash of sparkle, travel and funky sax playing.

On my days off, I started to think about all the wonderful places I’ve been and the people I’ve met. I have to tell you, it made me feel like a very lucky girl indeed.

I want to tell you a little more about that in a minute. But first, I really, really need to say a HUGE thank you to some people. The first being you – my lovely clients. Without you, I wouldn’t be able to do any of this, so thank you for allowing me to come and entertain you. I really do love making a party memorable!

Next, a whopping great big thanks to all the clubs, agents, DJs, musicians and sound technicians I’ve had the honour of performing with. And last, but definitely not least, my wonderful family for making this year totally incredible.

So, what have been the best bits of 2018? That’s a hard one to call – there were so many great places, people and parties, that choosing one would be just too hard. So, here are a few of my faves.

Fabulous places? Well, Ibiza obviously! Who couldn’t love this sun-drenched party Island? It’s fun and just perfect for hen parties with my funky light up sax. I absolutely loved every minute of it. I also travelled to Santorini – all I can say is, stunning. And, I can’t forget Croatia and Sportsvest – what a wild ride that was.

Bringing the Ibiza sax vibe with my super talented DJ sis Emma has also been one of the highlights of the year too. Thanks Emma – love you loads!

Firsts of things have been really special this year too. Like the first time playing in Lake Como and the first time at a Bar Mitzvah. I love trying new stuff.

Raising money for good causes is always a joy, and playing the sax for the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital at the Emerald Ball was no different.

And, finally, my regular Manchester residences, like Revs Deansgate Locks and Tiger Tiger are always saxy, sassy fun.

Wow – writing it all down like this really does show me just how lucky, and totally busy, I was last year. There were so many other memorable things, way too many to mention them all here. So, if you think you’d like me to play at your ‘do’ in 2019, now is a good time to get me booked. If this year is anything like 2018 was, it’s going to be amazing!
